Recognising the achievement of women in construction

Last week, one of our very own Student of Architecture team members, Erin Gonthier, took home the silver hammer, winning the CBRE University Scholarship at The National Association of Woman in Construction 2018 NSW Awards

Erin’s winning entry can be attributed to how well she presented her resume, career aspirations and interests, and what the future of the construction industry looks like and how she will contribute. She also sent a link to an article she authored on the Local Project as well as a letter of recommendation from her honours thesis supervisor.

Despite the obvious recognition and silver hammer trophy, the CBRE University Scholarship prize comes with $3,000 towards further study. Erin is currently studying a Masters in Sustainable Built Environment, so we’re sure the Award will provide much needed assistance on her educational journey ahead.

With over 50% of the integratedDESIGNgroup team being women, we’re extremely proud and excited at the prospect of seeing more women in the construction industry reaching great heights and being recognized for their efforts.

Congratulations Erin!
